Based on Intel® Core™ quad-core processor E3950 (up to 2.0GHz), the VTC 6221 specifically complies with the stringent E-mark standard in a robust, fanless and compact mechanism. The VTC 6221 provides full communication capability between the vehicle and the computer via the built-in CAN Bus 2.0B interface.

The VTC 6221 features rich WLAN and WWAN wireless connectivity. With support for dual SIM cards per modem, the VTC 6221 allows up to six SIM cards to be redundant via software for better connection quality. Furthermore, the six SIM cards and three WWAN module architecture can increase bandwidth for faster data transmission speed. Equipped with intelligent power management, the VTC 6221 can be woken up by ignition, RTC timer, or remote SMS message. By integrating various I/O ports and 3 x mini-PCIe and 2 x M. 2 sockets for expandability up to three displays via VGA and HDMI connections, the VTC 6221 maintains the flexibility to meet the demand for different vehicle applications such as infotainment, dispatch system, cellular/wireless network connectivity, and video surveillance. The design of 3 mini-PCIe slots can solve potential market demand as needed.
