Based on the Intel Atom®  quad-core processor x7433RE, the VTC 6231 specifically complies with the stringent E-mark standard in a robust, fanless, and compact mechanism. The VTC 6231 provides full communication capability between the vehicle and the computer via the built-in CAN FD interface. The VTC 6231 features rich WLAN and WWAN wireless connectivity. With dual SIM card support per modem, the VTC 6231 allows up to eight SIM cards to be redundant with each other for better connection quality via software. In addition, the eight SIM card, four WWAN module architecture can increase bandwidth for faster data transmission speeds. Equipped with intelligent power management, the VTC 6231 can be woken up by ignition, RTC timer or remote SMS message. By integrating various I/O ports and 2 x mini-PCIe, 3 x M.2 socket expandability for up to three displays via VGA, HDMI and DP connections, the VTC 6231 maintains the flexibility to meet the demand for different vehicle applications such as infotainment, distribution system, cellular/wireless network connectivity and video surveillance. The design of 2 mini-PCIe slots can solve the potential demand from the market as needed.
